Ex-AG Barr says DOJ likely has enough evidence to ‘legitimately’ indict Trump in Russia probe
Judge Amy Berman Jackson said Sunday on “Fox News Sunday,” that Justice Department officials are likely to have enough evidence to “legitimately” indict President Trump on charges of obstruction of justice, even after the special counsel’s probe was narrowed to focus on former aides — including his former White House national security adviser, Michael Flynn.
“The evidence is probably going to be sufficient,” Jackson said.
“The bottom line is that, as we see in the obstruction case, the evidence is likely to be sufficient. Certainly it’s well beyond a reasonable doubt, but we know this — at the end of the day, the evidence is going to be very, very strong,” she added.
Jackson, who recused herself from the Russia probe last year after it was revealed that she had donated to Hillary Clinton’s Senate campaigns in the 1990s, said she was not ruling out the possibility that criminal charges would be filed against Trump, as Mueller looks into potential obstruction of justice.
